"ICT Policy" Project (ICTP), UNDP jointly with the Center of Training and Support of Young Programmers(CTSYP) with the aim of enhancing the capacity organized a training course on basic computer literacy for IT volunteers in Tashkent.

A training-course "Application of ICT in the public administration" will be held in May 27-28, in Tashkent, at the Academy of State and Public Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This training course is organized by the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan, the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and UNDP ICTP Project.

The National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies – ICT SUMMIT 2008, will be held on September 25-26, 2008 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

With the purpose of learning from the experience of Finland in establishment and development of technoparks, the working group on studying the best practices of special science and technology zones has visited the technology parks of Technopolis Company (Helsinki, Finland) during February 4-8, 2008.
