Today National Software Products Exhibition “BEST SOFT - UZBEKISTAN 2009” has been opened in sport complex of  Tashkent University of Information Technology It should be noted that the exhibition has managed great development and gained recognition as the leading annual event in the sphere of software industry for the last three years.

May 12-14, 2009, Tashkent . Annual National Exhibition and Forum "BestSoft – Uzbekistan 2009" open on May 12-14, 2009 at the sport complex of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The first winner of an interactive radio show, dedicated to information technologies, was identified. The quiz took place within the radio project «Taraqqiyot sari» on “Uzbegim Taronasi” radio station (101 FM). The winner was Akmal Ikramov from Tashkent, a first-year student of Tashkent Institute of Finance.

UNDP "ICT Policy"(ICTP) Project in jointly with the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information is preparing a series of radio broadcasts in the area of information and communication technologies on "Uzbegim Taronasi" radio station, on 101 FM.

The National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies – ICT SUMMIT 2009, will be held on September 21 and 25, 2009 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Being one of the year’s most important events in ICT area in Uzbekistan, ICT Summit opens the Information and Communication Technologies Week (ICT Week) with its plenary and sectional sessions and concludes it with recommendations and final resolution.

Annual National Exhibition and Forum "BestSoft – Uzbekistan 2008" will be held on May 15-16,2008 in the territory of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The events are organized by IT Association of Uzbekistan and from the Government side are endorsed by Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan. Partner of events - “ICT Policy” (ICTP) Project of United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan.

Nukus and Urganch cities, March 26-31, 2009. A training course "Application of ICT in the Public Administration" is to be held in March 26 in Nukus city, is aimed at raising awareness of state workers on various developments and world trends in the field of Information Communication Technologies, and is to accommodate around 40 representatives of different state structures, departments, agencies, as well as those of some local establishments.

A training-course "Application of ICT in the public administration" was held in February 23 -25, 2009 in Bukhara and in February 26-27, 2009 in Navoi region. This training course was organized by the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan and UNDP ICTP project "Assisting the government of Uzbekistan in the formulation and implementation of ICT for development policy"

Rewarding ceremony of the 2008 quiz program winners within the framework of «Taraqqiyot Sari» TV Program («Towards the development »), has been held at the UNDP “ICT Policy” project’s office.

Review of information and communication technologies development in Uzbekistan for 2006-2008 is published within the framework of the UNDP ICT Policy project. The Review provides assessment of various factors impacting ICT development, as well as identifies development trends in the ICT area.
